Best lunch place, and it has a dog friendly patio! Eating outdoors in January, wow.
Best cobb alad ever, maybe. Had a breaded fried egg on top ans enough blue cheese
I couldn't figure out why I was not getting any red tomatoes! Green, sort of yellow yes, red no. Then one day I spied the culprit, a cute little red naughty dog. Did not have any fencing to hand, but like many dog people, I do have a few X pens, commonly used to keep naughty dogs in, but in this case keep them out of my tomatoes. Guess it's another example of making do with what you have.
No doubt about it , I am a collector of old stuff. Show me a barn full of old decrepit stuff and I'm like a kid at Halloween. Here is the marble trough I just bought, and my staddle stone and the well sweep. Did I need another hunk of rock out front? No is the clear answer, but here it is. In case you didn't know, a staddle stone was one of 4 that would hold the corn crib up off the ground to avoid vermin. English, mostly. Think I need to do a little landscaping? Yes, probably this spring would be good to do something. I put the well sweep over the tree stump. That worked well, but maybe I need to move the stone things around back. Might be a little safer.
